glam may, Jim 404, wut fwamdm, mmm The Senlor Class of 54 left on nts Class Day trm to Nlagara Falls on Frlday May 28 In the morn 1ng they gathered ln the audltorlum to hear th: readlng of the Prophecy the W1ll the Class HIS torv and the Dedlcatlon At mld mornmg they went to the statlon and boarded the tram for a two and one half hour tr1p to Buffalo At Buffal J thev boarded buses for Nlagara Falls where the boys checked 1n at the1r hotel and the glrls 'lt thelrs Soon the streets were crowded wlth Semors headlng for the Falls a few blocks away One of the fxrst thlngs many of them d1d was to take a rlde on the Mald of the Mlst After a rather thorough soaklng from the trlp the glrls Wlth thexr straggly halr and the boys Wlth thelr wet feet went to dlnner Some then went exther to the Cave of the Wlnds or across to Canada In the evenlng most of the Semors crossed thc rlver to Canada to see both the Amerlcan and Canadlan Falls flooded wlth colored llghts The beautlful scene was well worth the three mllf walk across the Ralnbow Brldge Mldnlght was curfew tlme and everyone was 1n hrs hotel but few were mn bed The chaperones and the hotel clerks spent a rather restless mght Whlle the Semors v1s1ted from room to room To ward early mornmg a relatlve calm settled By eight oclock they were back on the go agaln After breakfast some went shopplng and others went to see the places they had mlssed the dav before Many took a conducted tour by bus Thr-v went through the greenhouse amphltheater IH the Canadxan gardens stopped at Burnmg Sprmgs and went across the Whlrlpool Raplds by cable car Next came the rush of checklng out The sou vemr shops were crowded Wlfh last mlnute shop pers Then the buses arrlved and after a short rlde the Semors were aboard the tram headlng back to Conneaut Some of the hardler folks sang and joked all the way home others not made of such stern stuff fell asleep At 945 p m thev arrxved 1n Conneaut and were greeted by frlends and famllles It was generally agreed that all had a wonderful t1me Chaperones for the trlp were Mr and Mrs Scott Sumner Rev and Mrs Mlles Strlne Mlss Mary Huber Mxss Marge Walsh Mrs Harley Dal rvmple Mrs Bernlce M1ller Mr D F Macmlllan and Prmclpal J H Wolfe
