CLASS HISTORY As we the senlors of the Class of 1952 come onto the stage for graduatxon our mmds travel back over our school days We have fmally reached thls xmportant milestone ln our l1ves Our last four years have been some of our most enjoyable nd cannot easlly be erased from our memorles As we are remrmscmg the present slowly fades away and we see ourselves as we were on Septembel 5 1949 Just enterlng Sen1or Hlgh School After a few days cf becomlng accustomed to classes we elected our class offlcers They were Presldent John Walter v1ce pres1dent Guy D1Plac1do secretary-Charlene Scott and treasurer Barbara Fullerton We recall 1n1t1at1on day w1th a famt smlle Yes what semor would have forgotten that' That day our class came to school dressed as fashlonable ladles and gentlemen under the sole command of the senlors We soon found out that they treated us llke anythmg but ladles and gentlemen that day and at the 1n1t1at1on party Another lmportant event to remember was the Sophomore Mothers Tea We gave our mothers entertalnment and refreshments The rest of the year seemed to move along so qulckly that before we knew lt s hool was out and we were returnmg as Jumors When we came back several of our classmates were no longer wlth us Th1s xear our class off1cers were Gerald Laakso pres1dent Guy D1Plac1do vlce pres1dent Judy RlSley secretary and Joyce Palagyl treasurer We recall that twelve members of the class were chosen and 1n1t1ated 1nto the Natlonal Honor Soclety The whole school was proud of the band and cholr when they competed a Columbu and both recexved h1gh ratmgs Later we enjoyed lrstemng to the band and Ch01I concerts Many of us partlclpated ID the Rhythms of 51 ThlS was an xnterestlng program comblnlng the varlous talents and ab1l1t1es of Conneaut Hlgh School The last but not least lmportant event of the year was the Junlor Sen1or Prom Afte the summer vacatlon we returned thxs tlme as senlors That seemed only a few months ago yet xt IS now all m the past Our capable senlor class Offl cer were Presldent Guy D1Plac1do VICG pres1dent Davld Hanklns secretary Laura W1nturr1 and treasurer Ralph Mlller We remember the annual Chestnut Hunt at Glrard Communlty Park as a day well spent w1th a p1cn1c d1nner games and for some even a dlp m Lake Erxe We 1n1t1ated the cookles 1nto our school wxth the usual procedure The football team had a very successful season losmg only one game and that belng the flrst one Judy Rlsley was crowned as home com mg queen by co captams of the team Gerald Laakso and Erland Ahlberg The sen lor play a three act comedy Meet Me In St Louls was glven ln November Teen Town dances were held throughout the year Some of the other events we remem ber from our senlor year are Football banquet basketball season Sen1or Glrls Banquet band and cholr concerts track meets Sen1or Tea the Prom Class Day Baccalaureate and flnally Commencement Day Th1s brlngs the year to a close Our mmds are brought back to the present tlme and we realxze that we are now belng graduated Our high school days are all over but the memorles we keep cf them After graduatlon we will each go forth to seek the goals we have set for our selves Even as we reach success we w1ll recall fond memorles of our happy days together 1n h1gh school DORIS MAGILL - 1 . 1 S . 1 1 1 - , .
