In the General Scholarship Test for High School Seniors held at Jefferson April 2, 1938, the following seniors were awarded places: Robert Toomey, fifth place; Paul Anderson and Jack Fazenbaker, tied for seventh place; Francis Shannon, twelfth place; Betty Norton, fourteenth place; Kennth Pounds, fifteenth place; Barbara Williams, twentieth place. In the District State Scholarship Test at Kent, May 7, 1938, the following persons were awarded certificates: Richard Chase, first in Biology, Miss Johnson, teacher; Robert Miller, fourth in Biology, Mr. McMillan, teacher; Harry Hicks, sixth in Chemistry, Mr. Durkee, teacher; Betty Norton, eighth in English 12, Mr. Torrance, teacher; Peggy Donnelly, ninth in Latin 10, Miss Peck, teacher; William Castrilla,' ninth in Typing 12, Miss Forgey, teacher; Marjorie Stevens, Hon. Mention, English 10, Miss Peck, teacher; William Seppanen, Hon. Mention, American History, Mr. Torrance, teacher.
