Turner was wearing a bright fore-in-hand, But Bob wore the niftiest one in the land; John Hazeltine, too, was both dazzling and gay, But Doc. Eades had him beat in his stunning array. And also McCaig, that small boy with red hair, Wore one with which few of the'rest could compare. As these boys and others marched in with their ties, You’d have thought that a rainbow had dropped from the skies; The loveliest sight from the Pole to the Isthmus, Were these wonderful ties that the boys got for Christmas. —Reinhardt, ’15.
