There is always someone special in a crowd, someone who stands out above all the rest. Someone whose identity is usually known by all because of his ability to recognize the best in each person and to inspire that person to be his best. He is a leader among his peers with the Leader guiding him. And yes, there is that special ray of sunshine to be seen in him through his never-ending smile. In our small delegation here at CHS, the special person we all recognize is Coach Don Hanks. Williams We are all indeed children of the universe. Yet closer to home, we are all children of CHS. Each of us is subject to the myriad of relationships that abound in our high school. And, on the deeper analysis, we ARE CHS. Together, each and everyone of us, we make up the grey and the blue and we are the pillars of humanity called Cadets. We, as individuals, and we, as CHS, have all benefited from knowing and being around each other. Thus, we do not look forward to losing such Cadets as: Bill Crockett, Buddy Ward, Beth Abernathy, George Heck, Don Hanks, Jimmy Beasley, Bob McAllen . . . and the class of '77 . All of these have given us valuable memories. This year the CADET staff has tried to capture some of those memories. We hope that you, on your future sojourns, can look back at this annual and recall life as it was. We have covered that small piece of eternity called a year as well as possible, and we hope you like our coverage. We would offer one last thing: Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God.
