SENIOR CLASS HISTORY Trme passes so swrftly and pleasant The Senror class of 1957 certatnly wrll agree to thrs It was only twelve years ago when most of us rnet each other A few of us were cryrng, but some were very happy It took some trme but soon we all learned to accept the responsrbrhty of Uomg to school and to enjoy It The two schools we attended were Elm Mott and Lakevrew Competrtton al ways exrsted between the two rn sports and achtevements We contrnued under thrs system untrl our seventh year rn school when the drstrrcts consolrdated Thrs brought all of us together to work as one for the betterment of our class school, and communrty Connally Hrghwaserected on tts present srte rn 1952 lt was there we fm rshed our last two years of Junror hrgh It was a glorrous day when we were graduated 1nto senror hrgh but three more years of school strll awarted us Our hlgh school years were frlled wrth excrtement and work Thrs rs what four per cent of the boys and sxxty seven per cent of the grrls have partrclpated rn the athletrc actrvrtres Even though some of the students drdn t parttcrpate tn the sports they certarnly drd back us wtth abundant school sp1r1t Our frrst year we worked rn clubs, on the paper and annual staff Now as senrors we have taken the lead rn some of these organrzatrons We spent long happy hours work mg on plays, plannrng the Junror Senror banquet graduatron, the senror trlp and other projects Among our class there are ftve members rn the Nattonal Honor Socrety f1ve cheerleaders two football and F F A sweethearts, F H A beau, one l-lomecomrng Queen two best CIUZCHS and two most representatrve students May 24 1957, wrll be a more glorrous day than three years ago Now we are on our Journey rnto the world We feel very confrdent of ourselves and know the gates of opportunrty are wrde open for us The Senrors of 1957' ' u .
