IN DR YDOCK CONFLICT enter the huge Drydock Number 8 at Sasebo, Japan. Astern, t' .e caisson is floated into place and sunk in preparation for pumping out the drydock. Stages are erected against the side of CONFLICT before replacement of damaged and aged planking in her sides and cleaning of her bottom begins.
