Administrators Work Haro' To Keep The Wheels 0 The School Board. responsible for the education of all the students in the Conese toga Valley School District. makes sure every student's schedule includes the state required courses. The Board also hires the administrators. teachers. and assistants to see that the student can fulfill these re- quirements. The budget and school tax are two of the many other problems which face the School Board. The members decide the annual budget for the school in such a way as to give the students the best possi' ble education. These members give of their time without pay in order-to aid the student and community. The School Authority is appointed by the School Board to finance any building projects in the school district. The func- tion of borrowing money for building costs is left up to the Authority since by state law the School Board cannot borrow money. As superintendent of Conestoga Valley School District. Mr. Robert Rill is the link between the school and the state govern- ment. Mr. Rill's iob is to carry out policies the School Board and the Pennsylvania School Code set up. Along with these responsi- bilities. Mr. Rill also makes the final ratings of all the teachers. These ratings are based on Mr. Rill's personal observations and on the administrative staff recommendations. In conclusion. Success of the school program directly relates to the cooperation and effort of all facets of our community which includes parents, teachers. students. and the community at large. explains Mr. Rill.
