A Prosperous Year For Conestoga Valley Artists january was indeed an extremely busy month for the art classes of CV High School as students diligently prepared for the annual Scholastic Art Show from February 12 to March 4. As it has usually been in the past, CV once again succeeded in not only producing a very prolific amount of entries, but was also quite fruitful in receiving awards for them. One hundred and ten artists acquired honorable mention while 20 others were gold key winners, 12 of whose entries went on to become finalists at New York. In addition, a medal of excellence for photography was won. This tremendous success can be greatly credited to the su- perb instruction and helpful guidance of our two outstanding art teachers, Miss Anspach and Mr. Dreibelbis. Through long tedi- ous hours of striving for individual expression, uniqueness, and new creative ideas as well as devoted efforts on the part of both students and instructors, CV has rightfully been able to claim having the finest and most prosperous art program in Lancaster County.
