HOMECOMIN Millie Stoltzfus Named Homecoming Queen I 971172 After weeks of student preparation and anticipation, the homecoming activities finally got underway with the Homecom- ing Queen assembly on Friday, October 15. Here the 16 semi-fi- nalists were presented to the student body and as the program ended Barb Groff, Brenda Andes, Millie Stoltzfus, Donna Book, Diane Huber and Peggy Lacy were announced as the six finalists. During the halftime of the Garden Spot-CV game, on Satur- day afternoon, the week's events were climaxed as Miss Carol Hershey, Homecoming Queen for' 1970, relinquished her crown to Miss Millie Stoltzfus. Miss Peggy Lacy and Miss Donna Book were announced as first and second runners-up respectively. An exciting second half followed as the Buckskins defeated the Spartans by a triumphant score of 38-6. That evening, the festive weekend was terminated as CV stu- dents and alumni returned for the annual Homecoming dance. Rigbl - Homecoming queen, Millie Stoltzfus, is crowned by the 1970 queen, Carol Hershey.
