Disappointing 2-5 Season Provides Experience For Girls' Track Team The track team, in its third year of league competition under coaches Judith Harris and Robin Murren, finished its season with a 2-5 record. The team, guided by co-captains joan Steffy and Cindy Bare, lost a close game to E-town, then went on to win against Donc- gal, 38-26, and Solanco, 45-19. Coach Harris remarked that having two coaches helped the team immensely. While she concentrated on the running events, Coach Murren worked with the girls in the field events: high jump, broad jump, and softball throw. Coach Harris also pointed out that one great disadvantage for the team was the lack of girls participating this year, and, in addition, most of the girls were inexperienced underclassmen.
