Cross Country Team Looks To Future The cross country team compiled a disappointing 4-9 record in the extremely tough county league. Don Byler was an exceptional runner, achieving a 1.38 earned run average and finishing seventeenth in district competition. Don led the top five of the team including seniors Doug Mus- ser, Herb Groff and Doug Miller along with sophomore Eldon Stoltzfus. The team was young and inexperienced but this year's experi- ence should provide for a vast improvement next year. Above - While the team warms up with exercises, Coach Hoffman talks over the upcoming meet with Doug Musser. Below kj? - Determination and exhaustion mark Herb Gi-off's expression as he crosses the finish line. Below right - Don Byler leads this trail of CV and LS runners.
