Membership in the National Honor Society is the highest honor any student may attain in high school. Members are selected on the basis of scholarship, character, leadership, and ser- vice. The induction service was held on February 20th in the high school auditorium. Mr. Wil- liam Duncan of the Millersville State Teachers College was the speaker for the occasion. The Student Council has had a busy year actively supporting all school activities and organ- izing many new projects. The council sponsored the election of the Halloween Queen to represent Conestoga Valley High School at the Spooknacht celebration at McCaskey High School. It also arranged a Sir Valentine contest, and sponsored a number of school dances. Members of the council sold re- freshments at basketball games and other school functions. The council consists of thirty-six students who are capable leaders and who maintain a high scholastic standing. The able sponsors of the organization are Mrs. Loar and Mr. Duncan.
