OUR CLASS HISTORY Since we are the first class to blaze new trails at Conestoga Valley High School, the members of our class think of their underclassmen days in their two respective high schools. Those of us who were underclassmen at East Lampeter remember the choosing of our class jackets, hats, and pennants as among the high-lights of our sophomore year, and recall with pleasure the visit to the historic battlefield at Gettysburg. Among the many activities of our junior year we re- member the joy of the day we received our class rings, reminders of high school days. We look back upon the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Junior-Senior Prom as happy climaxes to the school year. Those of us who spent our first high school days at Upper Leacock High School recall how proudly we first displayed our class jackets on the day of track meet during our sophomore year and what a thrill we had when our junior play, Take Your Medicine proved a great success. Of course, we can not forget the excitement of preparing for our Junior-Senior Prom with its theme of Oriental Gardens. Both groups felt great excitement when they joined forces as the senior class of Conestoga Valley High School on September 4 in the newly constructed high school. We organized our class and laid plans for our senior year. Among the ac- tivities that stand out prominently in our memory of this year are the trip to Washington, D.C., the visit to New York, our Senior play, and the Senior Prom. Now as we leave our Alma Mater, we all join in saying, Our high school days were happy days. CZ? forty-four
