The football team finished second behind Pottstown in the Ches Mont League this year. The Pioneer line consisting of Dannaker, Ramsey, Yelovich, Whitaker, and White proved to be one of the best defensive aggregations in the school's history. Dannaker was mentioned on many all teams. He even received an honorable mention on all-state and all-America. This line teamed with Delaware, Blair, Stewart, and freshman sensation Ed. Byrd in the backfield, gave the Pioneers a strong well balanced team. SCHEDULE AND SCORES ., Jw. r I A 7 v..,. . The Keehnmen won nine league' tests. At one stretch in the season they won 8 out of 10, the only losses were to Pottstown 1-O, and Downingtown 2-1. Bridgeport and West Chester were the final two victims. Both fell by identical 7-0 scores. Lee Parry fanned a total of 107 batters including 16 in the final West Chester game. Lee's win-loss is not too impressive but that's because many other factors besides pitching contribute to losses. His earned run average was a sensational 0.64. This means he allowed about one-half run per seven innings. FSLWE5' BOB VUALTON X X fk.,,-I IK' '. f. x M 'li 3 ' We r' T av O A. Q 1' ,P-fs' BOB THOMAS .1 s .u.2:'l!' L1! . . .
