Alumnae ,Xssocinl-ion The purpose of the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae Association is to foster professional and social relationships among its members and to promote the improvement of professional nursing. It is also the purpose of the association to maintain an active interest in the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. All graduates of the school are eligible' for membership. Each year honorary membership is given to the graduating seniors for the remainder of the year as an introduction to the association. The Alumnae Association contributes to the life of the students in many ways through its proiects and social activities. The graduating seniors are guests of honor at the annual homecoming dinner-dance. At present, the maior proiect of the Alumnae Association is the refurnishing of the Nurses Residence. A piano was presented to the school at Christmas of 1965. Individuals and groups are invited to contribute to the furniture fund proiect. 72
