SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Left to Right: Mrs. Williamsy Miss Thomas, Miss Mihelcicy Miss Pritts SE IUH EL!-l55 HISTUHY It seems only yesterday that we were Freshmen eager for each new experience. During the first year we studied basic sciences and medical-surgical conditions, learned basic nursing fundamentals, and carefully applied our newly acquired skills to meet the nursing care needs of our patients. Time passed and soon we were Juniors. Our courses included Pediatric Nursing, Obstetric Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing, and Long Term Illness Nursing. Today we are Seniors. As Seniors we study professional relations and advanced medical-surgical nursing. Graduation day will arrive bringing with it mixed emotions of happiness and sadness-happiness that we had remained steadfast and completed our program and sadness when we think of breaking the ties which bind us to the hospital, to the school, and to our fellow students. After some thought we will realize that this is not the end but only a beginning. We now have a foun- dation upon which to build for the rest of our lives. On that last day as each of us prepares to depart on her new pathway, we will realize that we are leaving a part of us at the school and taking a part of the school with us in our hearts. In the future when we pause and remember our days at CVMH, who could condemn a silent smile or tear? 32
