III-XPPIG... Uwz JDM! ' 1112 ' The tirst goal of our nursing career is receiving our caps. Perhaps the longest six months of our life is our pre-clinical period. The tension mounts as the day grows nearer and on the eve of capping, there is a rush movement to get ready. The solemn, but happy, capping ceremony is ended with the Florence Nightingale Pledge and for the first time since entering the school, we truly feel like nurses.

O Mrs. Ponas and Mrs. Himes file our student records. O Mrs. Hiner aids Vivian Swarney in the application for future employment. IILIISI fi II H HEIIIQIHDS Much admiration and praise is due to three persons who have con- tributed much to our well-being dur- ing our three years in C. V. M. H. School of Nursing. Mrs. Movene Po.nas, Director of Nursing, and Mrs. Murilla Himes, Educational Director, have devoted much time and effort and have very capably fulfilled their duties in plan- ning, organizing and directing our entire curriculum. And now, as our student experience is brought to a conclusion, the data of our three years experience is ready for filing purposes for future reference. ln the future, as we anticipate as- suming the role of R. N. in our own hospital or in other fields of nursing, Mrs. Betty Hiner, Assistant Director of Nursing, plays an important part in guiding us for our future employ- ment. All three have evidenced sincerity and devotion in their endeavors for the betterment of the school of nurs- ing. To them, and to all of the fac- ulty, we wish to express our appre- ciation for excellent guidance, in- struction, service and an interest in our welfare . . . that we might de- vote ourselves to the welfare of those committed to our care.
