Supplies! What would we do without our sup- ply room? lt is here that we obtain everything from pencils and linen to canned goods for the kitchen. Each item has its own place and number. To us it is iust a mass of obiects which we never could find, but thanks to the men working there, everything runs smoothly. lt is from this source that we obtain our uniforms and what a necessity they are! We are rather proud of those trim blue and white stripes and those snowy white aprons, but like any other material, after many scrubbings, they be- come tattered and torn. What a relief it is to have a sewing room where they can be mended! lt would take us hours to do what these able seamstresses do in minutes. Nutrition is the basis of good health to both well and sick bodies. Here in the cafeteria, nurses, students and personnel can select foods to balance their diets according to their individual tastes. The diet kitchen cooks and serves food to the pa- tients whose well-being and treatment requires special attention to diet. lt is here that students learn to balance, calculate, and serve nourishing meals. X --, I Donna Wingard and Nancy Watts agree with Mrs. Rose that a stitch in time saves nine. O Arlene Baldini secures supplies from Fred Horvath in the storemroom. I Nancy Sanders is all set for another week as she receives clean uniforms from Mrs. Deshmk. N ff'

Care of the sick . . . it is surprising how a few words can be indicative of so many detailed duties. Patient care requires the cooperation of a large ,number of persons educated to give total care. The complete picture includes . . . prepara- tion for the patient, care during the hospital stay and preparing for the next patient. Each member of the hospital team accepts and carries out his responsibility of providing adequate care. As a result, the latest in medical and nursing care is administered toward the goal of returning the patient to society as quickly as possible. ln order to meet the patient's total needs, students are taught to give all phases of nursing care in order to hasten the patient's recovery. 1, THE P TIE T5 Good morning, this is Memorial Hospital, says the cheerful voice of Ollie Malchaney. O Sondra Eppley waits to offer assistance as George Varmecky and William Brown transfer a patient from the ambulance to Receiving Ward.
