Jw, ' Md' ron PEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital can boast of a modern and efficient pediatric department. Students, upon entering this clinical service, are taught basic principles of pediatric nursing which include taking care of Well children as Well as those who are sick. Little textbook work is done because understanding of the Work is most satis- factorily presented through visual aids and acjual project Work. Interesting and Worthwhile projects are assigned to the young nurses. These projects often demand Working with and through the parents. Among these were panel discussions and demonstrations on how to interest, divert, entertain, comfort and teach the child in a Wholesome constructive manner.
