Every Iune, the nurses home witnesses this scurry as the students await that major social galaxy-the annual Iunior-Senior Ball. One hears the rustle ot tatteta, satin and silk, the Whis- per ot net and organdy. The intermingling ot many perfumes and flowers till the air. On that memorable spring night, a beautiful ballroom, complete with colorful unreality, dream-like music and Vague creations welcomes our dancers. Deloris Gates, Ianet Schmidt, Ioann Shutt, Betty Ann Varney and Pauline Pelesky We have many outside interests but much tree time is spent in the nurses home. ln the tall and win- ter months most ot our in- terests naturally turn to frantic studying. After study hours, we enjoy gathering in our tiny kitchen, relaxing over sandwiches and milk, and laughing wildly over our instructors' mannerisms. What horseplay and an- tics! Any reasonable tac- simile demonstrated is greatly appreciated by all. nndmoluz Each year, schools ot nursing stress more and more the importance ot the Well bal anced personality by providing more ex tensive recreational activities for the student nurses. Our incipient recreational program consisting ot recreative physical activities and social functions, has proved to be bene- ficial to the students health and has also served as a form of relaxation and educa- tion. To inspire the fall candidates a never- forgotten peppy initiation party is given by the junior sisterhood. The green probation- ers are given quite a variety of delicious concoctions to eat after Walking shoeless through piles and piles of ice chips. , . W9-L-Z.,--f-W Lett to right- During the year, parties, teas and picnics are arranged. Other planned ,activities in- clude swimming, hiking, roller skating and dancing. lt is very difficult to say which activity the girls enjoy most, but square dancing is a favorite. Come to your podner, meet her in the shade, come to your podner and all promenade!
