At the beginning at the year the Conemough High School Band consisted ot 56 members. The band was under the direction ot Mrs. Leaf for the Hrst semester. Shortly after the second semester began, Mr. James Bruno returned to his former position as music director. The l4 senior members ot the band will receive sweaters when they graduate. Several members ot the band also play for other organizations such as the Sons ot the Legion and the Polish Band. Virginia Parko has the honor ot being a member ot the Pennsylvania All State Band. Next year the band is expected to have 60 or more members. New hats will be purchased. Let us hope its success will continue. i269
