Paul Yewcic, star center was chosen as forward on the second team with the third highest number of points-two hundred forty-two. Honorable mentions were given to Robert Fetterman, Herbert Thompson and Charles Tumosky with a special honorable mention for Frank Feist. The Conemaugh High School Iron Horses wound up their l945-46 basketball season with the best record of the greater Johnstown area-nineteen wins and three losses, Alter taking the West Cen- tral League Championship, the Horses defeated Homer City in the District VI P. I. A. A. semi-finals. They went on only to be defeated by Altoona in the finals. Previous defeats were from Conemaugh Township and Johnstown Catholic High Schools. The Conemaugh Junior Varsity basketball team completed its basketball season with the splendid record ot fourteen victories against two losses. The J. V. quintet scored a total ot tour hundred seventy- nine points while holding the opponents down to three hundred nine. Westmont delivered the defeat in the South Fork Junior Varsity Tournament. The Ponies then played Richland in a consolation game and defeated them to take third place in the tournament. IIOI
