One will have to travel a long way to be associated with the caliber of student that walks the halls of Condon High. Take a back seat to no one, for you are as well prepared, academically and socially as any other group of students. Believe in yourself and in your school, for your school is no better than what you want it to be. Each one of you needs to add your hand to the develop- ing of the spirit of your school. As this is the last year that I will be at Condon, I would hope each one of you would remember me as a person rather than a principal. Goodbye. Don't look so glum Mr. Schneider, the Freshmen are really energetic. They may not be very smart, but from the looks on their faces, they could puzzle anybody. wlwlvmmrsmwvzix That's rightg Mr. Buenconsejo wants to make sure everything is in perfect order before he TRIES to transmit any Spanish into ANY of the Sophomores' heads. You can always tell when all the Sophomores are busily working. . . none of them are taking time to smile for a picture. The girls tried their hardest but alas, they were defeated by the slight margin of 35 to 17. Mom's Night is an annual event looked for ACTIVITIES ward to by all GAA girls and their mothers. A new tradition was started this year as all the Senior boys' moms were asked to come. Previously, Letterettes has been a club for all girls who have earned a letter at C. H. S. However, this year the consti- tution Was revised in an effort to make it a more active organ- ization. Thus, girls must earn a letter each year in addition to 5 Letterette points. Or just 10 Letterette points. It is the goal of this club to become a service organization at C. H. S. ---One that girls can be proud to be a member of, as they will have worked for the honor. Initiation is one of the high- lights of the year. If the girls can pass the initiation ceremo- nies it is thought that they will be an asset to the organization. Onions in the Stew, the 1964 All-School Play was a delightful and different comedy filled with humor and uproarious incidents. Betty and Don MacDonald came to Vashon Island in Puget Sound to begin a new life. However, Anne and Joan, their two teenaged daughters pre- ferred the city life to life on an island. But they did entertain many of their friends such as Claud C'a colorless, rather forlorn young fellow j who was Joan's boyfriend. Finally, after many mishaps, especially with the plumbing which even New Motor Marvin couldn't repair, Betty MacDonald decided to sell. It was only after Miss Garvey fthe welfare worker with sensible shoes and a raspy voicey came to buy the house that all of the MacDonalds realized their true feelings toward their island home. . . In the Old Gym on April 25, the Junior Class re- vealed their artistic accomplishments in creating the 1964 Prom, Moon River. The setting was a River Boat's ballroom which glistened with gold walls and azure blue ceiling. Rotating lights accented the chandelier in the middle of the room. The bridge across Moon River led from the ball- room to the shore line. Under the star-covered sky were the tables and a mural which gave the setting awe-inspiring beauty.
