SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY When school began on September 2, l94O, twelve Freshmen enrolled. Misery Week wee shortened to two days and ended with a party given by the Sophomoree, We elected Beverly Lofthouee, Preeidentg Mary Klepperlh Vice-Preeldentg Robert Collins, Secretery and Treasurer, Our members to the Student Council were Loren Hildebrent and Mary Bradley. Robert Collins wee elected Sergeant-et-arms, Peggy Bultmen enlisted er'che one of the first month, but Lawrence Gross dropped out. Mary Bradley wee elected cendidete for Freshmen Class Queen. In the middle of the fifth six weeks Louis Clausen entered our class. , We were well repreeented in music, eporte, the Student Council end other activities. , ' We enrolled as Sophomores on September lQ l941.Wef lbet Peggy Bultmen, Louis Claueen end Merrie Bewek, but we gained June Elllngeon end Arthur Lcinhert. For our leedere we chose Dorothy Bcrtech, Presidentg Juno Ellingeon, Vice-Preeidentg end Arthur Leinhert,,Secre- tary and Treasurer. Beverly Lofthouse end Earl Grandprevrre elected as our representatives to the Student Council. , Bob Collins wee our only repreeentrtive in the Bend. Beverly Lofthouse, Bob Collins, and Eerl Grendpre represent- ed ue in Mixed Chorus. Beverly Loftheuee in Glee Club and June Elllngson and Beverly Lofthouee in Kittenbell.
