it is our successful farmer friend, Carl Hanson. It seems that good old Sidney Bill is at his Utopia out on his farm east of town. Of course, we all remember the girl in high school who couldn't seem to find a Hsteadyn or Hunsteadyn, and here she comes now. We wish to introduce to you Mrs. Herman Liskovitch, formerly Anna Herring. We find she is operating a matrimonial bureau for the lovelorn as that is how she got Her-man and she wants to help other girls along the path of matrimony. Here comes Wyman Eske, the young man who was always a lover of the Juke-box specialty NThe Wabash Cannon-bhlfiv It seems that the song must have had some effect on his career as he is new the chief engineer on the Wabash Line. We find that Jeanne Chaon and Mae Boullion have merged their talents and invented a posture-inducing machine. They had it patented way back in 1949 and have made enought money to put them on easy street for life. After looking into the business we find the girls have Lloyd Lyren and Maurice Huber on the road selling this indispensible machine. We are sorry that Warren Dittus couldn't make it home for the reunion meeting, but he has sent us his greetings by telegram. It seems that as a Professor at Yale University, he finds it very difficult to leave during the regularschooi term. At the appearance of the next alumnus everyone seems to take a particular interest and all eyes are cast on this beautiful girl ascending to the stage. It is the one and only Gypsy Rose Nash. Of course, we always knew her as Shirley. She has made 9 name for herself, and is known all over the United States but for the first few years it was a pretty bare living to try and make both ends meet. Also acpearing with Miss Gypsy Rose Nash on the stage is her manager. He too is a mamber of our illustriousclassg it is none other than that nSpread it on Thickn Florian McPartland. That Uhacn really has got a line. Its too bad that he doesn't run some sort of a tackle shop. UMacn has been with most all the big entertainers but it seems that he prefers Shirley. As you know there always was a soft spot in his heart for that certain young lady. Of course we can't forget the brilliant girl of our class who is also here. It is Lila Herr Cnow Ball? who re- sides on a farm Northeast of the metrowolis of Verdon. It seems that the sparkle that glowed on her finger during the last year of high school wasn't just one of those Woolworth specials. She has had twenty years of marital bliss and we wish her many more. Whats this music we hear in the back of the auditoruim? You guessed it. The Surprise Band of 1962, Alton Rapp and his Rug-Cutter Jazz. The band is just on their way from the Strand in New York to make a picture in Hollywood so it is just by cahnce that we were able to have Rapp with us. One of tae outstanding qualities of the band is the Gob-Stick 2?.ir,

SENIOR CLASS QROPHECY The Class of '42 made e mutuel rgreement just before they left the domain of the Conde High School building, to stage e home coming of the class, et Conde in the year of 1962. It is new the first dey of May in the eventful yerr of 1962 and in the new auditorium of the new Conden High School building, lerected in 1960 at e cost of 349,000l we find the meeting of the Clase of '42 in progress, Of course, at eveU'gethering of this type there must be e master of ceremonies. Filling this role we find thrt curly haired, wise-cracking comedian-+-thet second Red Skelton---who is none othfr thrn our own Richerd Hildebrant. We ere not surprised et his position in life. He always was an extremely witty personege. Upon further investigation we find thrt he broadcasts over the hutuel Network every Tues, dey night for the new NFcrmule X557 Cnri Application Heir Curler.H From the looks of Red's heir, he certainly must be e prying advertisement for hi: sponsor. The meeting gets into full swing as Richerd cells upon the most distinguished member of the Clase of '42, You guessed it, he is nbne cthrr thrn that person, who we would cell a trifle imperirlistic, the Honorable Senrtor Keith Taylor. Yes, he 'might bf erlled - serond Senetor Rorrh for it looks es though he is e permfnfnt fixture in Congress. He wrs elwfys one who never gfve un hope es long as there wes e slight chance for success. Next we look to see what thrt other bright boy in our cless hes been doing to mcke the shillings roll his wryg of course we mean Edward Brown. We find 'tart Edwfrd hes fol- lowed.his father's footsteps end is doing flright for him- self,'nlthough he hesn't moved off of his form southwest of Conde, He has made r fortune growing wweeteorn--corn that has a neat little hrndle on the end of eeeh cob. This is quite en improvement end is eperecietwe by ell people of America because very few knew the correct wry of handling thet Hcornn before. Next upon the etrge comes that little yum-yum girl of the '42 Classy hrs. Robert White Knee Vetty .Lofth7u1el. Yes, after being- 0 successful nurse for fifteen yerrs she finally hooked e poor unsuspecting petirnt. We feel sorry for Bob who, efter eluding Betty for fifteen yeers, finally was confined in the hospital where Uetty worked. After Mrs. White hrs paused for breath, we see r men coming up the steus. He is weering overalls end e straw het and carries e pitchfork in his hfnd. Kp, it isn't thedevil, 21

beauty Beverly Dobberpuhl, who is also a sensational vocal- ist. Beverly was playing jobs in New York when Alton found her and signed her up to avpear with his band. We find Mildred Lienhard a successful Botanist. She has taken the place of the late Lurther Burbank. Sho has developed a potato that grows above ground and merely has to be picked. ' Up onto the stagerunvglides the graceful ballet dancer, Owen Klapperich. Of course, he has played all the large theaters in the United States and has given performancls abroad. He has just gotten back from a very successful trip to Paris. Keep those nimble feet going, Owen. Who is this that we see coming up in a wheet chair: No, it isn't the result of a car accident, it is just the worlds laziest man, Bill Hearnen. His servant tells us that Bill is Wworkingn in Ringling Brothers side show. Billdoesn't even say Uhcllon as he is too lazy. We always wondered, when he was in school, what he wrs studying to become. Over in a far corner we see two of the most successful graduates of '42, Reese Mathieu Jr. and Jerry Thomas, Mr. Mathiru was president of a fire cracker company and Jerry owned a firm that manufactured steam radiator valves, but these businesses blew up and so they combined their talents and are now making safety pins. This business is likely to hold the two men together for quite a while. It is 'rumored that at present they are discussing the construction of a pin plant in Verdon, which is Reese Mathieu's former home town. Now last but by no means least we find that character, Freddie Simmons. Has he got along in the world? I should hope to smile. He is now president of the Crosley Car Cor- poration. He ascended to presidency by his invention of the open air assembly line which makes exclusive use of skyhooks Good going Freddy! We always knew that your 'inventime genius would get you somewhere. The meeting ends with Alton's band playing UAuld Lang Synen and everyone drinks a toast to everyone elses success. Of course Bill Hearnen remained sitting to drink his toast as he was too lazy to stand up. 25
