THE SP ARTAN ANNUAL As a new and original annual staff we have done our best to edit a new and original Annual. Editor Taylor, to- gether with his conscientious helpers, has worked to the ut- most to present to the students of Conde High an annual better than all preceding it--an annual that depicts student life as the students live it. Assistants on the staff are: Beverly Dobberpuhl, as- sistant edltorg Betty Lofthouse, Business Managerg and Florian McPartland, Edward Brown and Jeanne Chaon, reporuss. Senior assistants are: Tommy Reardon, Wayne Cleveland, and Doris Zeck. THE SPARTAN PAPER The Spartan is the monthly publication of the student body of Conde High School. It has a circulation of approx- imately lOO copies. The Spsrtan is published by the Junior and Senior classes, who elect an Editor, and he in 'turn selects his staff with the approval of the adviser. The editor for the first semester was Tommy Reardon with Dick Miesen as assistant editorg Doris Zack as business manager, and the entire staff as reporters. With the opening of the second semester the entire staff was changed with the Junior class taking over the responsibility of publishing the paper. Jerry Thomas was elected editor with Keith Taylor as his assistant. The Spsrtnn is a member of the SDHSPA, with both stsffs.nttending press meetings. The Seniors attended the fall meeting at Clark, and the Junior attended the spring meeting of the association nt Redfield. 78
