FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY When school began on Sentember second, there were twelve Freshmen enrolled in Conde High School. We elected Beverly Lofthouse-presidentg Mary Klapperich-vice president: end Robert Collins-secretary treasurer. Mr. Schultz was elected our class adviser. Loren Hildebrent and Mery Bradley were elected as rep- resentatives for the student council from the Freshmen dess. Robert Collins was appointed sergeant-Of-Arms. Initiation only hed to be endured for two days, to the relief of the Freshmen, at the end of which the Freshman- Sonhomore oerty was held on Sentember twentieth. A nice time was enjoyed by all who ettended. The last week in September we acquired a new Frenhmrn Peggy Bultmen. One of the Freshmen boys, Lawrence Gross, dropped from the class the first of November. The Freshmen-Sophomore classes soonsored e Weiner roast on October third, qiven for ell of the school. Mary Bradley was elected csndidete for the cless queen. - After Christmas vacation we settled down to await the errivel of semester exeminetions. We messed the ordeal suc- cessfully end started e new semester. - In the middle of the fifth six weeks we ecquired en- other new Freshmen, Louis Clausen, from Brentford. The Freshman class oerticinsted in many school ac- tivities. Some taking pert in bnsketbell, kittenball, base- ball, bend, mixed chorus and girls glee club. We are now eagerly awaiting the time when we shell en- joy the annual high school nicnic end thus finish our first year in Conde High School. 46
