There was close checking on defense by both teams. Concrete 10, Edison 7 This game was close and exciting all the way through. The teams were evenly matched and neither was able to score in the second half. Concrete 17, Hamilton 16 We were behind, 5 to 9, at the end of the first half. The Lions came back strong in the second half. Brooks started out by sinking two long shots. The game was on edge all the way. The lead changed with every shot. Brooks sunk a long shot in the last few seconds to give the Lions a one point victory. Concrete 27, LaConner 4 In this game the Braves made one field goal each half while we were rolling them up with ease. Brooks and D'Amico were high scorers. Concrete 7, Edison 14 Due to sickness, the Concrete regu'ar seconds did not start this game and as a result Edison did not have much trouble in taking the con- test.
