We Proudly Dedicate The 1988 Pillars To Rev. George H. Lange Rev. George Lange has been a vital member of Concordia's family for 13 years. A graduate of Concordia Teachers College, Seward, NE, and Concordia Seminary, Springfield, IL, he came to River Forest from Tomball, Texas, where he has been pastor of Zion Lutheran Church. Since 1974, he has served Concordia as director of admissions counseling, director of undergraduate student recruitment, director of undergraduate admissions, and finally as director of public relations. His capable guidance and strong leadership has brought a level of professionalism to everything he has been involved in, from the Foresters singing group, to the production and editing of The Forester newspaper. Everyone who has known and worked with Rev. Lange is aware of his enthusiasm for life, his commitment to serve the Lord, his dedication to his job, his constant striving for perfection, and his insatiable drive. Those who worked most closely with him know that he never demanded as much from them as he did from himself. Rev. Lange's commitment to the students of Concordia has been evident in his affection for them and a true concern for their future. He has always been willing to give guidance and professional expertise whenever asked. Equally strong is his dedication to his family. He and his wife Lois have three sons, Mike, Peter, and Jon, all graduates of River Forest, and one daughter, Susan, currently completing her junior year here. ln November, 1987, Rev. Lange accepted a call to serve as admissions director of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne. He will be missed here as he was such a vital part of the Concordia family. We wish him God blessings. ln recognition of his service and dedication to His Lord, Concordia, the students, and his family, we proudly dedicate the 1987-1988 Pillars to Reverend George H. Lange.
