So, too, my staff smiled, gave me a quarter of a page to fill, told me I could say whatever I wanted to, and left me alone at a typewriter. So, here goes . . . First of all, the many thank-you's. They sound cliche, but I want to let some people know how much I really did appreciate them. Steve and Greg, for your pic- tures and help and numerous long hours, Jon and Laura, for your creative and life-saving layouts, and finally Dave, for your many late hours, help with the more tedious aspects of a yearbook, and your ever- ready boost to an editor's sagging morale, I thank you all. Some of you may have wondered why this book has no dedication. A yearbook is the product of many people, and it seems to me that a dedication on the front page must be something that everyone totally agrees with. In times like these, such consensus on any idea of importance seems impossible. Therefore, here in my own box, I would like to offer my personal dedication. I dedicate this book to those many loved ones who, for various reasons, will no longer be with us. In particular, I will especially miss Dr. Rudolph Heinze, Dr. Kent Moors, Dean Richard Korthals, Chris Grotelueschen, and Grace Lutheran Church.
