It would seem today that the world is entirely pessimistic and apathetic. However, if men were not idealistic, many of our modern conveniences would not have been created, and many of our learning institutions would not have been developed. Idealism is a state of mind. It is a governing feeling that involves a person totally in his strivings to make humanity happen. Idealism is very much alive. WHAT IS MIDDLE CLASS MCRALITY? Middle class morality in America today is mainly influenced by the Protestant Church. At present it is conservativism in matters of sex, drugs, and religion. 'Don't take chances, but play the game of life strictly by the rules.' This standard of morality appears to be undergoing change and will eventually become much more liberal - if the younger generations continue to rebel from the standards of their parents.
