The dedication of our book this year is going to depart somewhat from tradition, it has been a custom in past years to single out one individual Who has served Concordia well for the special recognition of having the Pillars dedicated to him, We think that this is a very fine idea. l-lowever, there are some people connected with Concordia who de- serve recognition and very seldom aet it. Who are these people? These people are the Christians, who through donation of their generous gifts, have made Concordia, as we know it, pos- sible. Looking over a list of all the things at Concordia which have been donated, one is startled to find that almost everything is the gift of someone or some group. Cur gym, new track, art collection, library furnishings, science building, and countless other things have been given to our school as gifts by Christians who use their Godfgiven means for His glory. To make a list of people who have do- nated to our school would be an impossi- bilityr To thank them all personally would be even more impossible. But by dedicating this l958 Pillars to you, Mr. and Mrs. Anony- mous, we hope in some small measure to express our gratitude to you for making our Concordia what is it,

Zjjdjej Pillars is the name of this book which contains pictures of Concordia and its people. The pillars which front the Ad- ministration Building are a distinguishing feature of our school's architecture. We who have been your teachers hope and pray that these pillars are merely representative of other and more substantial supports for your future lives and careers, Our every aim and effort has been to provide you With a program of study and activity - in a dedicated Christian atmosphere - which will serve as a sure foundation for you in time and eternity.
