Science Reveals the Wonders of the Universe A new and exciting world opened up for the many science students at Concordia. Classes were semi-structured, allowing stu- dents to set their own pace in meeting deadlines. Among the courses offered were biology, chemistry and physics. Biology students delved into the study of life and living things while chemistry students learned the principles of matter and energy. In physics classes the students related discoveries to other areas of life. Above left: The ever-present mini-world springs into focus. Above right: Nancy Mueller, get your cold hands out of my shirt! Left: Successful experiments depend on careful calculations. 21
