We've been friendly and not so friendly, we've yelled at basketball and football games together. We've gone to parties, to DJ's and movies together. We've studied, crammed for tests, and complained about teachers together. And now we are finally going our separate ways — some to college, some to work, and some to marriage. Some of us will never see or hear of the others again, while some may live across the street from one another. But no mat- ter when or where you are when you take this book off it's shelf, dust it off, and look inside, Class of '76, you'll find yourself reliving moments of our span of time together, and you may ask yourself if our paths lead only forward, or whether it is possible for you to retravel the road that leads to places and people once familiar. 12 Lookin’ Good Janey Aldridge Fred Balthazor LaDonna Breault Ronnie Burch Denise Alexander Rae Bellows Kim Briggs Frances Campbell Matt Anderson Kyle Bohm Marsha Bryant Craig Cassel Greg Andrews Jane Bray Julia Buechel Dick Castonguay 14 Seniors, Bye Bye Robin Champlin Pam Chartier Tim Collette Dennis Cox Jeri Chaput Martin Chizek Cathy Cook Sherri Coy Marcia Chabonneau Carla Clintsman Corey Cook Kathy Deal Debbie Chartier Steve Collette Janet Cote Bill De Armond 15 Look Over Sandy Delforge Tim Dorman Gwen Fleenor Pat Gagnon Rita Deneault Deanna Dunshie Tim Fogle Scott Geisler Cathy Dillon Bruce Dyson Mike Forshee Kirk Gieswein Tammy Dorman Mark Eaton Loretta Fraser Todd Gennette Your Shoulder Greg Gerard Charles Hanson Doug Hatesohl Julie Horkman Diane Girard Kallen Hanson Lori Haynes Rod Hruza Lee Gould Kay Hanson Janet Hicks Karen Hubert Debbie Haist Dan Harris Karla Hittle Sharon Hubert 17 Mark Hughey Kevin Johnston Susan Koehn Lisa Lanoue Kenny Istas Mark Joslyn Cindy Krob Janet Lawton Cindy Jackson Gloria Kindal Janet LaBarge Elizabeth Le’Cuyer Randy Johnson Terri Koch Jerry LaBonte Jim Letoumeau Into Pantherland Jim Lowell Susy Martin Rachelle Moe Dana Newton Martha McCall Denise Mathiesen Martha Moore James Nixon Alan Maish Barbara Metro Kim Morris Linda O’Connor Jane 11 Marcotte Tony Meyer Lonnie Mosher Greg O'Laughlin 19 How’s Your Kim Olson Kim Petty grove John Rasure Barbara Rehbein Dawnel Paris Jeri Phipps Michelle Reed Debbie Reutzel Tom Pearson Mike Predmore Janet Reedy Mary Revell John Peery Robert Ramsey Randy Regnier Steve Roberts 20 Keith Sager Debra Schrieber Patryce Stout Bruce Tracy Don Sanders Betty Shuler Scott Swafford Dee Ann Trimble Candia Santrock Randy Sore 11 Patricia Tholstrup Carol Van Amberg Kristine Saw in Barbara Staton Carolyn Thornton K. CHS THANKS YOU Not many people involved with school work stop to think of those on the staff who arrive before 7:30 and do not leave until late in the day. The work done by the cooks and custodians is often taken for granted. This year the student body would like to give them the recognition they deserve plus a big thank you for their good work! Besides having meetings, running homeroom discussion, and holding faculty advisory meetings, STU-CO held its annual magazine sales. Profits made were given to classes and used for providing CHS with a foreign exchange student. STU-CO organ- ized Homecoming with a totally different format from recent years. Winter Sports Festival was organized also by STU-CO, and both occasions reached the main goal of the organization. . . to raise school spirit. From joint efforts by STU-CO and Pep Club, a new Sports Club was created, hav- ing both girls and boys for members. The effectivemess of STU-CO was made possible this year because of excellent stu- dent support and administrative relations. Good backing from the students casued the administration to give the go ahead to many of STU-CO's projects, and resulted in a very progressive year for STU-CO. Mike Graham--Sec. This book is compiled by the Publications class which is in its 3rd year of production. The year began with the staff attending a yearbook workshop at Cloud County Com- munity College, put on by the American Yearbook Com- pany. There we learned about designing pages, marking pictures and creating special effects. We later found that it wasn't as easy as it seemed. Next the class canvassed the town selling ads in the community. Later we took orders for yearbooks from students and faculty. The re- mainder of the year was given over to planning pages, scheduling pictures and meeting deadlines. From these activities we have learned many things; probably the most important is responsibility. 56 Angela Aldridge, Gary Shrader Journalism I And II Journalism I and II printed the school pap- er every two weeks throughout the year. Jour- nalism I learned the functions of the paper, wrote news and features stories, and held the large responsibility of delivering papers to the classrooms and advertisers. Journalism II consisted of five seniors in charge of planning the paper, assigning stories for Journalism I, drawing up and selling ads, taking pictures, and doing much of the writing. Together, they had a good year. S. Breault, L. Kemer, P. Lewis, Mr. Talley, J. Lagemann, J. Lowell. FRONT ROW L TO R: M. McCall, S. Pitzer, R. Bellows, K. Hanson, T. Dorman, D. Mathieson. There was parliamentary law, business math, advertising, display, show card, product knowledge, income tax, insurance, salesmanship, job interview, marketing research, store operations, stocks, bonds, investments, human relations, problem solving, employers' evaluation, and several marketing related units. On top of all this we traveled about 1000 miles around the state electing state officers, attending leadership conferences, and competing in the state Distributive Educa- tion contests. Two of us were honored for our fine achievements. All of this traveling costs us about $2.00 for every mile, and we earned every penny of it through hard sweat and sometimes tears. Of course, this is just half the story. We all put in from 15 to 40 hours a week on our jobs and another 20 hours in school. SEATED: N. Hatesohl, Historian; L. Dochow, Secre- tary; A. Campbell, V. Students in Office Education gain both classroom and on-the-job training dur- ing their senior year. 1976 marked the 10th anniversary of Office Education; it was the 4th year for the program at Concordia High School. The members of the club worked to develop themselves individually, as well as improve the status of Office Education, and truly did march forward in the spirit of '76. In addition to school and their work experience, Office Education students are members of the Office Education Association which also provides learning experiences. This year at the OEA Fall Delegate Assembly, Kathy Barba campaigned for a state office. At Spring Leadership Conference, 6 awards were won by the members. Diane Collins, by placing 1st in the Accounting I contest qualified for National Leadership Confer- ence which was hosted by Kansas in Topeka. Coach Praises Players I would like to congratulate the 1975 Panther foot- ball team for your outstanding season. The coaching staff is very proud of your accompliments. I am especially proud of the seniors. You men have shown the leadership that it takes to be a winner. Your efforts and feats will be long remembered by your fans and coaches but most of all, by you. You will remem- ber the great feeling of pride for as long as you live. All the hours of practice and frustration are worth it because you now know that nothing worthwhile comes easy. You have developed a close relationship that will last forever, an attribute not attained by all. You leave behind a model for all underclassmen to follow and hopefully they will. Always remember what you have learned this past season—never give up, no matter what the odds—and you'll always be a winner. WE MAY We May Never Pass This Way Again was the theme of this year's Junior-Senior Prom. This year's prom kept the senior's in suspense because the theme and the name of the band were kept secret. The prom was accented with a kissing rock, lover's lane and a water foun- tain. Strobe lights and a mirror ball gave the gym a starry night effect. The band Touch Stone added the finishing to a great prom. The multi-purpose room was decorated with old familiar sights for the seniors. A highlight of the evening was the presentation by Scott Weigand, senior class president of the key of success to Cindy Krob, president of the junior class.
