MR. ROBERT BAUMANN--Activities Director MR. JAMES POST--Junior High Principle Musick Baumann Lead the Way Mr. Musick, with Mr. Baumann's qualified help, led the student body of CHS through a very successful year. As usual, many honors were bestowed upon him. In addition to heading the Kansas Education Club, he was on the program for both the National High School Activities Association and the Kansas State High School Activities Association Conventions. But the rest of the time I've spent trying to be High School principal. In this time, his work as principal has included initiat- ing the three-phase study hall plan and advancing the Student Faculty Advisory Board. MR. DONALD MU SICK--High School Principle Mr. Musick Displays His Art Talent at Many Places.

HAROLD CLARK - SUPERINTENDENT PAUL KOEHN - ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT Big Chiefs Mark the Way I wish to congratulate the students and staff of CHS for a very outstanding 1971-72 school year. Dur- ing this year, many students have received recognition for excellent performance in several areas of our cur- riculum. Such accomplishments bring pride and honor to our school and community. In addition to the en- viable records made by many students, one highlight which should be remembered is the contribution stu- dents have made to CHS through the new Student- Faculty Advisory Council. This council has made possible greater participation by students in the opera- tion of their high school. Several important problem areas were studied in depth and desirable solutions evolved. Best wishes for the future. Harold M. Clark The present division of the adminstrative duties in our unified school district places most of the assistant superintendent’s duties under the broad category of curriculum development and evaluation. He is con- cerned with the quality and character of instruction during the regular school year and summer school. He is directly involved with most of the district's federal aid projects, which includes submitting and evaluating the projects. The instructional program of a school district re- quires constant attention. It includes adding courses, deleting courses, or changing the content of some courses. It also involves planning the implementing in-service experiences for the professional staff, the adoption of textbooks, and the selecting of supportive educational materials for use in the school district. Paul H. Koehn LEFT TO RIGHT: Mrs. Dorothy Green, Miss Martha Fyfe, and Miss Karen Swenson. 4
