golf, tennis, and cross country, while the rest of the tribe gathered in a great pow wow to cheer their braves on to victory. He then moves on to other tribesmen filling the skys with music of praise to the great gods, while around the bright burning fires of knowledge the children listen to the medicine man's debate with nature. Ritual celebrations and dances are per- iodically conducted in the main lodge where braves and maidens gather to appease the gods. Thus this great scout, Hurkaru, has left behind the message of the journey made by his tribe through the high land of growing up. His is an eter- nal tribe, a never ending stream of students reaching far into the future bearing a message that will never dim. Upon entering Panther land one sees the artifacts of the great Indian scout as he marked his trail with the 1971-72 message. On his buf- falo robe he has drawn the life of his village. Legend recalls rituals performed before the great god Graduation swept through the land and scattered the tribesmen far and wide.
