Board Of Education FRONT: Fred Emery; Don Hutchinson; George Ganstrom, Vice President. BACK: Harold Clark, Superintendent; Paul Koehn, Assistant Superintendent; John Herbin; William Berner; Martha Fyfe, Clerk; Celeste McComas. President. Responsibility for determining the gen- eral policies of the Unified District Pub- lic school system is the board of educa- tion's. Members of the board serve as the representatives of the voters in carrying out purpose and function of the public schools. Members of the district board devote many hours of service to the business of the schools, meeting regularly the first Monday evening in each month. In a year's time, this will add up to many hours of Board of Educa- tion business. At Commencement exercises, Mr. Clark presented special plaques in rec- ognition of the service given by two out- going board members--Mrs. Celeste McComas and Mr. George Ganstrom. Mr. Ganstrom has served for 7 years and Mrs. McComas for 10 years. 6 Mrs. Celeste McComas, president of the school board, keeps other board members well in hand.

Administration Oversees Activities At C.H.S. DONALD MUSICK, Principal of C. H. S. They spend many hours trying to make the best aspects of school available to each stu- dent. They either bring about, approve, co- ordinate, or organize most of the school's activities.
