Class History As enthusiastic journeymen the class of 1968 began their journey through the planets on their STARSHIP 68. For the first part of the journey they elected Melanie Hepperly, Captain; Steve Townsend, Co-captain; and Gail Potter, Keeper-of-the-log. Their tour was sponsored by Miss Schenk, Miss Peck, Mr. Werhan, and Mr. Leon. After touring the planet Freshman die class journeyed to the planet Sophomore. Steve Townsend was elected Captain; Barbara Sutton, Co-cpatain; Mary Ownesby, Keeper-of-the-log; Claudia Stinson, Keeper-of-the funds. They were helped by Miss Smith, Mrs. Pearson, Mr. Fitch, and Mr. Sheppaid to maintain their ship. By die time the STARSHIP 68 reached planet Junior, Steve Townsend was still Captain; Susan Kennett, Co- captain; Gail Potter, Keeper-of-die-log; and Claudia Stinson, Keeper-of-the-funds. The crew had a multi-ship party entitled Dog Patch Days,: and a bon voyage party entitled Sunken Paradise for the inhabitants of planet Senior. After three mondis of orbiting in the STARSHIP 68, the class landed on the planet Senior. To lead the class through die last part of the journey, Charles Foster was elected Captain; Barbara Sutton, Co-captain; Susan Kennett, Keeper-of-the-log; Claudia Stinson, Keeper-of-the-funds. Mary Ownesby was chosen Panther Fleet Homecoming Queen. Later Icelandic ambassador Edda Siguidardottir was to reign over the Winter Sports Festival. r The 106 members of the STARSHIP 68 have spent four years together on their journey through space. They will soon be returning to Earth, where they will all go their separate ways. 15
