SHE IS NOT GONE- —SHE IS JUST AWAY A cheery smile and a bright Hi there are missing from the halls of C.H.S. Yes, someone is missing, someone who can never be replaced. A vacant chair in the English room and chorus, a sweet note that we will never again hear from her lips. But, she's happy beyond the sunset” with Him and that's what we would want, so we must say, Goodbye, My Dear. We do not see her but, just the same she's with us still. She's singing and laughing around us. 1 cannot say-and 1 will not say That she is gone - no, she is just away. With a cheery smile and a wave of the hand She has wandered into an unknown land And left us dreaming how very fair It must be, since she lingers there. And you, O you, whom the wildest yearn. For the old-time step and the glad return. Think of her faring on, as dear In the love of There, as the love of here. Think of her still as the same, I say, She is not gone—she is just away. James Whitcomb Riley Below is a picture of the trophy which was presented to the school by Marilyn's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Trost, in remembrance of their daughter. The trophy is awarded each year to an outstanding F.H. A. member in memory of Marilyn Joy Trost, who was interested in F.H.A. work. MARILYN JOY TROST Marilyn Joy Trost is a well remembered name around C.H.S. Marilyn was born May 29, 1940 and a car accident snuffed out her happy life on June 30 1955. Marilyn, an attractive tall girl with laughing blue eyes, will be remembered by all her teachers and classmate as a wonderful girl. She came to C.H.S. from a country school in junior high and al- though we knew her only two years we grew to love her. Now, she is gone, but she will never be for- gotten. She is sadly missed by all who knew her, but we who knew her the best, miss her the most. For this reason, I an dedicating the 1958 Hur- karu to Marilyn to help remind us of the wonderful times we had together. Sharon Johnson Editor
