AdtniniMraticH DR. CARL A. JAMES Superintendent Dr. Carl A. James, Superintendent of Concordia Public Schools, is serving his sixth year as administrative head of our public schools. His active work here as superintendent will not be forgotten. Every student of Concordia Junior- Senior High knows that Dr. James is always ready and will- ing to help him with his problems. Dr. James received his A. B. Degree ot the College of Emporia, his B. S. Degree at the University of Southern California, and his» Doctor of Education Degree at the Uni- versity of Kansas in 1950. He is a member of the honorary educational fraternities, Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Delta Kappa. Dr. James is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Country Club and the Masonic Lodge. One of the outstanding positions he has held is the presidency of the Kansas Society for Exceptional Child- ren. He now serves as a member on the Board of Directors of this organization.

Arthur Mastin, who is completing his fifth year os principal of Concordia Junior-Senior High School, has established a pattern of co-operation and friendship be- tween the student body and the faculty. Students, faculty members, and friends are always welcome to come into his office with problems that need his attention and guidance. Mr. Mastin received his A.B. Degree from Washburn Municipal University and his Master of Arts Degree from Kansas University in 1946 before coming to Concordia in 1948. He is an active member of the Board of Directors in the Kiwanis Club, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of the honorary educational fraternity, Phi Kappa Delta.
