Choristers practice in Old Main their spring concert sung at Trinity Church Chapel for Cobber, Chapel Choirs b01f'.rfe1f.r in mining HE Chapel Choir, singing a new arrangement of The Seven Last Words, presented a mid-March concert at Trinity Church. These choristers also took their traditional part in the 'Christmas Concert. Chapel appearances are included in their public per- formances. Cobber Choir, created to add to the Christmas Concert, is 'trained and directed by Professor Ernest Harris who has been on the Concordia music fac- ulty since l947. These campus choral groups provide choir training and experience for 130 Concordia men and women. RGANIZED in October, the first Concordia Oratorio Chorus and orchestra, rehearsed under the usic direction of Mr. Buckley, and Professors Sigvald and Y- Isabelle Thompson. Faculty and students participate Carolyn Moen, in this group to share their talents as singers and instrumentalists. In Ianuary the group presented, as its Hrst concert, Franz Schubert's Mass in G Major and Holy is God by Phillip Bach. Oratorio Trumpeters-Dave Stolee, Ion Lund, and Gene Okerlund-play obli- gato While Professor Roy Stahl plays organ accompaniment and the chorus sings Holy Is God. Singing with the Oratorio Chorus in its premiere performance-Alice Skyberg, Karen Larson, and Ianice Terras form part of the soprano section.
