Concordia's quota, ten per cent of the graduating class, has tripled in twenty years as one of 600 member schools. Stu- dents nominated by faculty members and fellow classmates are selected according to a criterion of general citizenship, scholarship, leadership, co-opera- tion in educational and extra-curricular activity, and promise of future usefulness to society. IMITING membership to those who have earned eighty-Eve per cent of their possible honor points during five semesters, Alpha Society remains a rather small group. This scholastic honor organi- zation holds its annual meeting, an initiation ban- quet, each spring. The Alpha Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Gamma reached its twenty-Hrst birthday in '58. Strict mem- bership rules require two years of experience in journalism, including a year of staff editorship. Con- cordia has eight members in this national honorary journalistic fraternity.
