Regis- tration proceeds with step three, each student hav- ing already completed step two, the scramble to get class cards necessary to fill carefully worked-out schedules or maybe just to avoid those eight o'clock classes. Step three covers the Hnancial aspects of getting a college education. Classes follow closely on the heels of registration and soon note-taking, book- toting Cobbers fill classrooms, labs and library. is Absorbed in her study of biology, Nancy Hammer pores over models displaying the mitotic process. Iohn, Iohnson fills out his papers at the controllerls temporary desk in the fieldhouse Registration, step three, is serious business to administrators and students alike. An all-boy ballet was performed for upper- classmen at the annual frosh variety show. Could it be the dying swan ? Freshmen Talent Show Results qt freshmen orientation O ROUND OFF a hectic week of orienta- tion, frosh relaxed with a bit of lively fun at the Freshman Talent Show on September 16. The twen- ty-eight clubs combined to make just seven groups, each of which presented a ten-minute act intro- duced by a live minute act. There were variety acts developed from circuses, comic strips, ballets, style shows and 'television shows. Comic Capers cap- tured Hrst place, judged on the basis of originality, participation and audience response. Final Week eginnmg of the and PRING arrives and with it green grass, bud- ding trees, picnics, and final exams. The season is met with mixed emotions . . . a touch of sadness mingled with relief. Seniors look forward with re- lief to graduation as they cover the last lap-filing placement papers, typing up personal data sheets, ordering announcements, measuring for robes, and cram-ming for exams. Then comes Iune . . . and graduation. Black-robed seniors form a procession and enter, stepping the Triumphal Marchi' with dignity A cross section of Cobbers seated in the perma- nent seating area of the Fieldhouse slaves over a final semester examination. Graduates, suddenly interested in horticulture, go through the tradi- tional tree-planting ceremony in the rain.
