THE LUTHERAN CHURCH - MISSOURI SYNOD IN APPRECIATION Albert Henry Schwermann, B. A. , B.Ed. , D. D. First president (1921-1954) of Concordia Col¬ lege, Edmonton, and professor from 1921 until his retirement in 1963, Dr. A. H. Schwermann has rendered our college and the whole church outstand¬ ing service. We take this opportunity to pay heartfelt tribute to a dedicated and humble servant of God. THE BOARD OF CONTROL FROM LEFT TO RIGHT: Mr. Schielke, Reverend A. F. Miller, Reverend F. A. Schole, President Frantz, Mr. J. Arm- bruster, Reverend A, Raduenz, Reverend F. Koehler, Mr. R. Tegler. ROLAND A. FRANTZ President, B. A., B. D. Religion MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT The following pages tell a sketchy but rather interesting story of a number of aspects of life at Concordia. It is safe to say that the pages which make up this yearbook will be cherished for a long time, and that in the years to come they will help to recall many pleasant memories of those days at Concordia. All too quickly the years of our schooling pass on, and as one year re¬ places another, and as time and distance carry us onward, the remembrance of our many experiences with those with whom we lived and worked and played becomes a bit more dim. It is then that we ap¬ preciate spending a few moments with our school yearbook, living again the many experiences that we had in the years gone by. It is the hope of all of us here at Concordia that we have had some part in making the years of your life here very pleasant and profitable ones and that this yearbook will be of service in reminding you of your years as a member of Concordia ' s growing family. To this year ' s graduates especially we extend our sincere good wishes for your future suc¬ cess. As you leave Concordia, we trust that you will not forget her. And we shall look forward to your return as time and circumstance permit. Roland A. Frantz, President. mm $$$$$$ Pitt Mm JOHN H. HERREILERS B. A. , B. Ed. He is up bright and early to make sure that the hubcaps are on Miss Helmkamp ' s car. He is also very helpful in straight¬ ening the street signs. Here we find our model student in class. Oops, where is he? It appears as if he has skipped class aga in. A futile attempt to enter the office after hours. Sorry. Now he is diligently rearranging the plants in the Library. It is indeed good that one should release his anger thus. Now is he looking for his supper or is he just cleaning up for Mr. Bogner ? Finally, after supper he retires to the lounge to discuss the world situation with himself. gp|| Miss Helmkamp at the piano.
