C oro (J3oreaf A I960 Jhe oCutlieran C liurch — l YjiAdouri d ynod corona i oreuii4 We, the members of the Corona Staff,” have attempted to fulfill the purpose for which this annual was intended, namely, to provide a keepsake” which will be treasured by both the. students and the Faculty of Concordia College. The CORONA BOREALIS is a crown of seven stars in Canada’s northern sky. This new name satisfies the ideas we wish to express in the title. Since it is in the northern sky, it is typically Canadian, and as a crown it has religious symbolism. We hope it will also serve as a reminder to all of the promise of our Savior, Jesus, Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” Rev. 2:10. We hope that this yearbook will keep your memories of Concordia fresh, and if it does we shall consider out task accomplished. It is an investment in terms of time and attention and in terms of dollars expended for books. Like other investments, reading pays dividends. A good book in any field returns to its investor increased understanding, greater knowledge, broader outlooks. A good book in the religious field brings to its reader the most lasting and important kind of benefit — spiritual dividends. Wisely chosen and properly used, Christian literature is a perpetual source of spiritual stimulation, hope, and strength.
