Graduates ORVILLE BIBERDORF (Orv), Frobisher, Sask. Orv completes his second year at Concordia in June and next fall he plans to enroll at the University of Saskatchewan. During his two years here, Orv has played Sr. Hockey and Sr. Baseball as well as singing in the Male Chorus. Gifted with a great scholastic ability, he stands high in all his studies, especially in Mathematics. SIEGMUND BOHNET (Sig), Beaverlodge, Alberta. Quiet and contented aptly describes Sig, who is seldom noisy. Sig has always been interested in his scholastic work, as his marks indicate, but he also has taken part in sports as basketball and baseball. Sig plans to continue his studies at River Forest in the fall. MERLE FINGAS, MacNutt, Sask. Merle entered Concordia ' s campus last fall to take grade twelve. Next year she plans to return to Concordia and continue her studies as a Parochial School Teacher. Merle received all her previous education in Saskatchewan. Besides working hard at studies, she is an active member of the Choristers and the Library Staff. RONALD FRIED (Ron), Grande Prairie, Alberta. Hailing from Grande Prairie, Ron came to Concordia in the fall of 1955. During his stay at Concordia, he has taken an active part in Drama and was circulation Manager of the Aurora Staff. This is his last year at Concordia as he will study Auto Mechanics for his future occupation. WALTER BOLLEFER (Balls), Lake Lenore, Sask. Cheerful and carefree. Balls came to Concordia three years ago and since then has proved to be a spark of laughter in the Dorm. This year he played on the Junior Hockey Team and was interested in Intramural activities. Next fall he plans to attend the U. of Saskatchewan. I ' m getting tired of lowering the blinds in Social and Latin classes. JOYCE GIESE (Skeeziks), Stony Plain, Alberta. Joyce is graduating after her third year at Concordia. She plans to become a school teacher and will study at the Normal School in Edmonton. Besides having interests up North, Joyce has been active in Choristers, Co-ed Council, Athletic Committee and as an enthusiastic member of Concordia ' s All Star Volley¬ ball team. NANCY GERLINGER, Lymburn, Alberta. Nancy entered Concordia College in the fall of 1954. She is undecided as to her future plans, but whatever she undertakes she will make a success of it. Nancy has found time to be the Editor of the Aurora, as well as being an active member of the Choristers, Students ' Council and the Library Staff. 11

Highschool JAMES WILLOX (Jim), Calgary, Alta. For the past three years Jim has led an active and full life at Concordia. A first-stringer on the Basketball Team and Intramural Captain this year, Jim has contributed much to College sports. He is also in the Male Chorus, Drama and is the Grade Twelve Class President. Jim plans to return next year and enter the College department. GLEN ZORN, Oaksheia, Sask . Studious and cheerful Glen came to Concordia four years ago and since has been active in Choristers, Male Chorus, Dorm Council, to say nothing of being the Business Manager of the Concordia Yearbook. He is also interested in sports and the intramural program. Glen plans on enrolling at Concordia again next term to study for the ministry. WILLIAM BEAMER (Bill), Calgary, Alta. This year, Bill ' s third at Concordia, has been a hard and busy one for him, for he has not only toiled through Grade Twelve, but has been weighed down with the headaches of the editor ¬ ship of the Yearbook. He has also served on the Dorm. Council the Students ' Council, and the Intramural Staff, as well as being one of Concordia ' s representatives at the L.S.G.C. Bill plans to return next year and continue his studies for the ministry. ELLINOR AFFELDT (Elly), Kerrobert, Sask. Elly came to Concordia in the fall of 1955. Besides being a loyal supporter of Saskatchewan, she takes interest in Volley¬ ball, and is also a member of the Senior Cheerleading Squad. Among her likes are Calgarians and the canteen where much of her time is spent. Her future vocation is undecided at the present. SHIRLEY SMITH (Schmidtke), Edmonton, Alberta. Coming to our campus last fall to complete her Grade Twelve, Shirley is one of our few city co-eds. She is a top-notch player on Concordia s “All-Star Volleyball Team. Shirley plans to become a nurse, and will continue her studies at Alberta College next term and then continue her training at Vancouver. DALE SCHROEDER, Winnstead, Minnesota. Having originally hailed from Duff, Saskatchewan three years ago, Dale is now a loyal Yankee due to the acceptance of a call by his father to Minnesota. During his stay, he has been active on the Dormitory Council and has sung in the Male Chorus and the Choristers. His future vocation is undecided. EWALD BAUTZ, Middle Lake, Sask. As one who is interested in sports and dorm life, Ewald has always been active in his four years here at Concordia. This year he played for the Senior Hockey Team and took part in the Intramural program to the fullest. As for the future, Ewald is undecided. 10

VIVIAN PECKA (Viv), Barrhead, Alta. Vivian entered Concordia in the fall of 1955. She plans to attend the MacTavish Business College next fall to study ac¬ countancy. Besides keeping a watchful eye on the dorm, Viv continually tries to make a good mark in Chemistry. Although she has a high academic standing, she has managed to find time for Co-ed Council, Aurora, Drama and the All-Star Volleyball Team. MARJORIE HABERSTOCK (Marg), Churchbridge, Sask. Friendly, studious Marg entered our institution in the fall of 1955 to prepare for the vocation of a Parochial School Teacher. She is a member of the Social Committee, Choristers, and Co-ed Council. Marg is active in both the Walther League and in the Sunday School at Bethlehem Church. REINHOLD PUHLMANN (Reiny), Trochu, Alta. Reiny is finishing his third year at Concordia and plans to k enroll at C.T.C. in River Forest next fall. He has been a member of the Male Chorus for the past three years and has taken an active part in Baseball and Intramural sports. His major sport was basketball being a member of the varsity squad during the past season. HERBERT KRETZER (Herb), Paradise Hill, Sask. Paradise Hill sent Herb to Concordia two years ago. This year he is completing his Grade Twelve course and is undecided as to his future vocation. Herb has been an outstanding player on the Junior Hockey team during the past year besides being interested in the intramural program. Herb takes his studies very seriously. WALTER KOEHLER (Walt) Claresholm, Alta. This is Walt ' s first year at Concordia. He plans to complete his ministerial training here and then continue at Fort Wayne. Walt took an active interest in hockey and played for the Senior Clippers. He has been an ardent Walther Leaguer You mean we ' ve got Math, again this period! ARTHUR PFEIFFER (Art), Bawlf, Alta. Art entered Concordia in the fall of 1955. Since then he has participated in Drama, Baseball, and Junior Hockey as well as being high on the scholastic roll. Art intends to return here next term to continue his studies for a Parochial School Teacher. Do you intend to sell cigarettes for a living Art? IRVIN ISSEL (Irv), Melville, Sask. Aim: Ministry.
