'lie Ann-eg l942 BOY ' S BASKEIBALL When Mr. Grine, the basketball coach ran his advertisment for basketball players in the fall of 'Al there were a large number of the boys turned out. The most of the boys were very faithful in coming to practiceA ' This year was the first. year for our new coach. Mr. Grine did some very good coaching, but because of the opponents having more and better experienced players, we didn't win very many ganes. Most of the players had fun and all were interested. 'Next year Mr. Grihe expects to have a much better team. A ' Robert Royle GIRL ' S BASKETBALL The girls of Concord were all eager for the 41-1,2 season to begin. The season extended from the first of November through February. ,An eager group of ten girls turned out for the first practice. Some new girls joined the force and some of the pioneers lost interest and dropped it. Even though the girls lost most of the games, .they continued to prove their school spirit by fighting their hardest throughout the year. Mr. Grine, our new coach was very good to the girls and tried to make them good sports even if it meant losing a game. We thoroughly enjoyed the season and hope for better years in the future.
