We see the look of divinity in the mother's eye and we can never cease to be amazed at the birth of a baby. The student learns in her experience to care for the mother in her long hours of labor, she often cares for the anxious rather with reassurance, she assists with deliveries, and learns to care for both the mother and baby after birth. l-'our weeks are spent in each area: labor and delivery, nursery, and the floors. llerc is where a student nurse's heart is opened wide with joy you lor all those about her who have accomplished and per- lornietl the task lor which we were created.
