The big day finally arrive-s and you find your- self scrubbed and ready to assist the surgeon with your first operation and construe his commands. You're positive you'll faint at the first sight of blood and forget the names of the instruments you've learned so carefully, but -- somehow you manage quite well and most make it through without too many catastrophies. I-Iere we are made to realize that the efficiency is due to the dexterity, knowlege and precision that the operating team, the surgeon, anes- thetist, scrub and circulating nurses, possess. Opportunity knocks and we're fortunate enough to get the inside story first hand -- what, where, why, and how renovated. This is truly a rewarding experience rich with infinite knowledge.
